A personal safety plan is a way of helping you to protect
yourself and your children.
It helps you plan in advance for the possibility of future
violence and abuse. It also helps you to think about how you

DV and Children
What does
child abuse have to do with Domestic Violence?
Domestic
Violence (DV) and child abuse often go hand in hand. A study put the number at 50%; 50% of domestic violence
influenced households also have abused children. 'A
child who is present during an episode of domestic violence is a witness. As a witness
they are a participant. As a participant they are victims,
and should be treated as such.'
