About us
One Child International Inc., is a non-profit governed by a board of directors (see One Child site). Our mission is the protection of children from abuse. We carry out this mission by providing child protection and abuse prevention information free worldwide in print and online. We do this in the research-supported belief that an informed parent, and community, best protects a child.

Advisory Board
Our advisory panel comprises child abuse recognition and treatment, law enforcement, medical, and protection specialists who kindly donate their time and expertise to One Child International. In doing so they ensure accuracy and timeliness in our knowledge-base for the materials and content published by One Child and Child AbuseWatch. By 'publishing' we mean online, print, training and lecture content.

•       John E. Wright, MD, FAAP, Medical Director, Broward County Child Protection Team   
        (Bio). Dr. Wright is one of 180 Board Certified Child Abuse Specialists in the U.S.

•       James 'Jim' Gamble QPM, chief executive (ret) of the Child Exploitation and Online
        Protection Centre (CEOP), a police unit affiliated to the Serious Organized Crime
        Agency (SOCA) in the United Kingdom. Gamble led the National Criminal Intelligence
        Service (NCIS) fight against child sex abuse. He led the work to set up the National
        Crime Squad's specialist response cell – the Pedophile and Online Investigation
  |     Team (POLIT). (Bio)

•       Kenneth V. Lanning, Supervisory Special Agent (ret) from the Federal Bureau of
        Investigation (FBI). He has been involved in the professional study of the criminal      
        aspects of deviant sexual behavior since 1973. Working in Quantico, Virginia, he
        was assigned to the Behavioral Science Unit, the Missing and Exploited Children’s
        Task Force, and the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (NCAVC). He
        is a founding member of the Board of Directors of the American Professional Society
        on the Abuse of Children (APSAC). (Bio)

•       Special Agent Terry Thomas, Child Protection Unit/Crimes Against Children,
        Florida Department of Law Enforcement. SA Thomas is an investigation specialist
        of crimes against children and in the training of agencies and personnel who have
        contact with abused children.

•       Vicki A. Tucci Esq., Circuit Director (retired), Guardian ad Litem Program, 15^th Judicial
        Circuit. The Guardian ad Litem Program represents the best interests of abused,
        abandoned and neglected children in court. (Bio)

AbuseWatch
One Child International Inc., owns and operates Child AbuseWatch. Child AbuseWatch provides child abuse prevention information and resources worldwide through its online network. In addition the network sites have been designed to provide localized emergency and crisis information depending on the location. The three regions served by the sites are the U.S./South America/Canada, Ireland/UK/Europe, Africa/Australia/New Zealand.

History
Child AbuseWatch was launched in 2007 as a means of sharing resources among the
67,000 child advocate volunteers in the U.S. It quickly grew to fill a much needed role as an information and resource provider which now provides this service worldwide with offices
in the U.S., Dublin - Ireland and Sydney - Australia.

One Child International Inc., is generously funded by benefactors, director grants and donations; our sites are managed and hosted by Webraven *., and updated, and
maintained by staff at One Child International Inc.
