About us
One Child International Inc., is a non-profit governed by a board of
directors (see One Child site). Our mission is the
protection of children from abuse. We carry out this mission
by providing child protection and abuse prevention
information free worldwide in print and online. We do this
in the research-supported belief that an informed parent,
and community, best protects a child.
One Child owns and
operates Child AbuseWatch. Child AbuseWatch provides
child abuse prevention information and resources
worldwide through its online network. In addition the
network sites have been designed to provide localized
emergency and crisis information depending on the
location. The three regions served by the sites are the
U.S./South America/Canada,
Ireland/UK/Europe, Africa/Australia/New Zealand.

James 'Jim' Gamble QPM,
chief executive (ret) of the Child Exploitation and Online
Protection Centre (CEOP), a police unit affiliated to the
Serious Organized Crime Agency
(SOCA)
in the United Kingdom. Gamble led the National Criminal
Intelligence Service
(NCIS)
fight against child sex abuse. He led the work
to set up the National Crime Squad's
specialist response cell – the Pedophile and Online
Investigation Team (POLIT).

History
Child AbuseWatch was conceived in 2007 as a means of
sharing resources among the
67,000 child advocate volunteers
in the U.S. It quickly grew to fill a much needed role as an
information and resource provider which now provides this
service worldwide with offices
in the U.S., Dublin - Ireland and Sydney - Australia.
Funding and support
One Child International Inc., is generously funded by
benefactors,
director grants and donations; our sites are
managed and hosted by
Webraven Inc.,
and updated and maintained
by the One Child International
Inc.
